Calling all cavy owners. Is your guinea pig kind of smelly and totally in need of a good bath? Well, here’s your chance to join me and learn how to bathe your guinea. I will demonstrate how to bathe a guinea pig featuring one of my own cavy’s that tends to be quite smelly. During class, you will learn the proper shampoo to use, how to handle your guinea safely during a bath, how to scrub your guinea pig, and how to dry your guinea safely with a towel and hairdryer. This class is a live demonstration by the teacher. The teacher will also have guinea pig guests such as “Chloe”, “Rosie”, "Boomer", "Mocha", "Oreo" or "Winter" during the lesson. This class is a fun and relaxed atmosphere that is an interactive, primarily positive discussion for younger students. Students are more than welcome to bring their guinea pig to class to share with other classmates and the teacher with parental permission. ” As guinea pigs should not be bathed that often, this class will only be held during specific times and during warmer weather when it is safe to properly bathe a guinea pig.” ****As this class features live animals, students who arrive more than 10 minutes late will not be permitted into the classroom as this is a time-sensitive class. Refunds and transfers will not be allowed unless under extreme circumstances. Please message me for the class recording.**** **Please note: I am not a licensed veterinarian. I cannot advise on specific health concerns, I can only inform on what to look for and how to prevent illnesses. If your guinea pig is sick, please take her/him to the veterinarian. There is no knowledge or experience in guinea pig care necessary for this class!
Learning Goals

Parental Guidance
As animals can be unpredictable, it is recommended if a student brings a guinea pig to class they have parental monitoring close by in the event the guinea pig gets frightened.
Parents, please note the words "poop" and "pee" will be used in this class as it is an important part of identifying the overall health of the guinea pig such as identifying illnesses. There may be images shown in class and descriptions on how to properly sex the guinea pig (finding out if it's a girl or boy). The teacher will always be sensitive and avoid being overly detailed in descriptions.
As guinea pigs should not be bathed that often, this class will only be held during specific times and during warmer weather when it is safe to properly bathe a guinea pig.
