This is a five-day course that will help the struggling reader improve their understanding of identifying Supporting Details within a given passage. I have had more than 20 years of classroom and private tutoring experience teaching Reading Skills to various age groups. I have extensive coursework and professional development training in the academic area of Reading. In addition, I have taught reading skills and strategies with the READ 180 program which was designed for deficient readers.
Students will be required to have a paper, a pencil, a copy of the text, and a highlighter.
5 hours per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
