42 hrs 45 mins in-class hours
Homework
2-4 hours per week. There will be homework assigned each night. Students MUST complete the tasks in order to move the class forward. The homework will consist of having students read short passages and respond to related comprehension questions to demonstrate their understanding of the skills and strategies taught.
Assessment
Progress will be assessed by students demonstrating their ability to apply the skills and strategies when reading short passages and when responding to aligned answers.

Class Experience

US Grade 4 - 7
GUIDED READING BASICS is a class that has been designed to teach, review and practice Reading Skills that are embedded within reading passages that students read on a daily basis. Students will find this course a useful addition and great help towards reaching common core guidelines. This course is a must for students to understand the rudimentary concepts of reading which will ultimately move them in the direction of understanding standardized tests better.  This is a  SEMESTER COURSE.
