Class Experience

Welcome First Graders! 
As a first grade teacher for over 22 years, there is nothing I find more rewarding than helping my littles reach their academic goals. I live for those "lightbulb moments" and structure each lesson with that as my goal for all students. 

In this reading and writing class, students will meet on twice each week for 50 minute sessions. Lessons will include phonics skills/word work, high frequency word practice, vocabulary building, picture walks, and a daily reading...

Students will need the following items for each lesson:
White board
dry eraser marker
eraser
Pencil box with pencil, crayons, markers or colored pencils, and a highlighter
Plain white paper
Writing Journal

1 hour 40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
