Guess the State: Midwest and Western Regions

In this one-time class, students will learn about states in the Midwest and the Western regions of the United States while playing the game Guess the State. This game is a great way to get students engaged in the topic. I will teach each state's capital, its famous landmarks, the state's flag, bird, flower, name abbreviation, historical landmarks found in that state, and much more.
 
I will present each state through a slide show presentation and by providing students with clues about the state. Their job is to guess and figure out which state I am sharing based on the facts given. Once someone figures out the state, I will share an interesting fact about that state.

Once the game is completed, we will review the material learned by playing a game of Jeopardy.
