In this one-time class, students will explore 4 interesting creatures who call South America home: The Howler Monkey, Llama, Kinkajou and Giant Anteater. Students will review continents through an interactive slideshow, identify 14 countries that make up South America, and discuss fun facts about each animal. Throughout the lesson, students will be asked questions to encourage critical thinking and improve retention. Literacy, vocabulary and map skills are also enforced as students follow along and take turns reading while learning new terminology. After learning about the animals, we'll play "Guess That Sound!" where students take turns guessing the correct animal.
