Class Experience

High fantasy is one of the most popular genres of fiction and has a long relationship with the queer experience. Though it may not always seem like it, Queerness has always had a place in fantasy worlds, I mean look at elves. Fantasy is one of the few genres where it's actually against the rules to be homophobic, and thus fantasy realms are the perfect place to express one's queerness. Now mix in theater, where people often discover their queerness, and you have the perfect place for a Queer setting.

In this RPG adventure, we will channel the long queer history of high fantasy stories and put on a show beyond all imagining. This is a unique setting with its own rules and style of play. You are a character in the story of Grymmworld. This is a place unlike any other, full of races, magics, and stories you've never seen before; all under the whim of a divine neurodivergent theater director.

This game is a play, and you are the actors upon the stage. The game is played in one of four distinct genres that will determine the rules, elements, and consequences of your actions. Fit the theme and craft a grand tale, defy it and suffer the horrible review, or perhaps bargain your way into a better show…the stage is set.
It is recommended but not necessary that you have knowledge with as everyone is welcome to learn as we go. It is helpful to know the basic rules, but I am more than happy to work with anyone who needs help. This game will require the learners to fully interact with the game, me and the other players.

*NOTE: this main focus of this game is role-playing and uses a homebrew rule set to maximize that ability*
