Class Experience

Do you want to learn how to live your best life and develop strategies to build confidence? If your answer is yes, this is the class for you! Through personal growth and development you can gain confidence and learn strategies to make your life more fulfilling. In this class, students will be taught how to develop abilities to achieve goals through hard work, determination, and perseverance.

This class will be structured through class discussions on the given topic. Students can use personal journal writing and drawings in each class related to the week's topic to reflect on their life, establish goals, and grow as a person. Students can choose to use a hand-written or digital journal during class. This class will be taught using Google Slides and a hands-on interactive presentation tool called Pear Deck to engage students in individual and social learning. Students will need to have access to log in to a Google account to access the Pear Deck interactive slides. A second device would be helpful to have during the class.

My teaching style is fun, engaging, and interactive. Learners will get to interact with the teacher and other students throughout the entire class through discussions, asking questions, presentation slides, and sharing of ideas from their journals. I encourage all learners to think deeply about themselves and how they want to live their best life!

Class 1- Introduction to the Growth Mindset-Fixed or Growth Mindset
Class 2- Perseverance & Persistence, Grit, and Courage
Class 3- Oops! Making Mistakes &Hope; The Power of "Yet"
Class 4- Facing Challenges and Problems

Students are not required to have any previous knowledge or experience. Since people learn from others, students should be willing to share thoughts and express ideas with each other during class to get the most positive learning experience possible.
