Growth Mindset: Learning From Your Failures! (ages 8-10)

If your student has a hard time handling failures (whether it is a poor test grade or a lost game), this class uses activities to foster a growth mindset, teach self-regulation, & also encourage students to explore "famous failures."

Class Experience

It can be hard for students who are "perfectionists" or intrinsically motivated to not feel upset when they "fail." This class teaches students to embrace failures and learn from them. We will explore how to stay positive and motivated when things become difficult, complete activities on positive thinking, learn to develop a growth mindset, and even learn about some people who failed MANY times before achieving success!

I even have my own "failure" story to share with students!

As a special education teacher, I use these strategies when working with students with anxiety. This class is designed for ages 8-10.

Class Breakdown:
1. Welcome!
2. Sharing Success Stories/Failures
3. Growth Mindset vs. Fixed Mindset Craft
4. Famous Failures Story
