1 hour per week. After each lesson, students will receive a “Challenge” designed to help them apply what they’ve learned in real life. These challenges encourage students to reflect on their thoughts, reframe limiting beliefs, and identify empowering “hero thoughts.” Challenges are short activities or mindset shifts to practice over 2-3 days in real-life situations, like catching and labeling thoughts, noticing patterns, or separating facts from interpretations. Students can return to the course to report on their experiences and reflect. Feedback on challenges is available upon request.Certificate of Completion

Beginner Level
In this course, students will develop a Growth Mindset to power through challenges, reshape unhelpful thoughts, and recognize their potential as the true heroes of their stories! Using short, fun video lessons, I teach key resilience-building skills like identifying “sidekick thoughts,” practicing thought awareness, and reframing limiting beliefs to build confidence, motivation, and happiness. What will be taught? Students will learn essential self-development skills rooted in cognitive awareness, thought management, and positive reframing, helping them become more resilient, focused, and proactive in all areas of life. Topics Covered: Each lesson introduces a powerful new way to shape a growth mindset, including: • Spotting unhelpful “sidekick thoughts” • Understanding how thoughts create feelings and actions • Distinguishing facts from stories to control reactions • Practicing “Hero Thoughts” to increase confidence and take charge of challenges Class Structure and Teaching Style: Each video is 5-10 minutes long, packed with humor, relatable stories, and easy-to-understand metaphors designed to connect with middle-grade students. Drawing on my background as a Disneyland performer, trained storyteller, and professional improv comedian, I use animations, gifs, memes, and illustrations to make each topic engaging and memorable. Every lesson starts with a quick hook, covers one key concept for simplicity, and ends with a practical challenge students can apply in real life. Student Interaction: Students complete a challenge after each video and can submit responses for periodic feedback from me. I’ll be here to encourage, guide, and help students develop their growth mindset skills along the way.
