This on-going reading series will help students grow a love for stories with an interactive reading of selected books by Roald Dahl! A NEW BOOK EACH WEEK! During each session, students will listen to a dramatic reading of that week's selected book. Students will discuss themes, characters, settings, and conflict with other learners, and discuss their expectations for upcoming chapters. As learners listen-along with each tale, we will talk about important plot developments and how those...
Each week, students will demonstrate an understanding of various reading/listening comprehension skills through verbal activities.
I hold an MFA in Creative Writing, as well as a BA in English Literature. I love stories--Reading them. Writing them. Understanding them.--and have dedicated my entire adult life to the pursuit of storytelling. My wish is to pass along my love of reading to as many young people as possible by introducing them to stories both old and new that will entertain and inspire them.
Homework Offered
All reading will occur during session times, but students are welcome to "read ahead" if they wish to do so.Assessments Offered

Students may follow along with their own copies of the books, and are encouraged to do so. Though, books are not strictly required for this course, and students may also choose to merely listen to the story, if they prefer.
