In this one-time class, your child will first learn all about seeds and plants through an interactive read aloud. After listening, students will watch a time-lapse video of a seed turning into a plant. Students will learn what plants need to survive. Children will then learn about the nutritional value of vegetables. Students will share the vegetables they will be planting. After learning all about seeds and plants and sharing our vegetables, it will be time for us to get our hands dirty!...

Students will need: Option 1: vegetable seeds of your choice, soil (approximately 4 cups), 6 toilet paper rolls or 3 paper towel rolls, plastic Tupperware container (minimum 5" by 5", Saran Wrap, rubber-band, spoon, water, scissors (parental supervision required while using scissors) Option 2: vegetable seeds of your choice, 6 starter pods in a greenhouse kit, spoon, water
45 minutes per week in class, and no time outside of class.
