Grow Your Focus, Self-Control, and Relaxation Powers! Ongoing Pre-K Class.
What's included

45 mins in-class hours per weekClass Experience
In this ongoing class, we will alternate between activities that are more physically active that will challenge students’ focus, attention, and self-control, and activities that help children learn to relax their bodies and brain. This purposeful alternating will help students learn to slow back down after stimulating activities and grow their mental and emotional capabilities. After our introductions/ice breakers, there will be a total of four activities (two impulse control, to relaxing). Learners stay moving and engaged through fun, active games and activities with an energetic, patient, and supportive teacher. Relaxation techniques for children improve their overall well-being, ability to handle upsets, increase concentration, and their ability to fall asleep. Focus and self-control are also essential skills for a quality life. The ability to focus and control involves developing executive functioning skills, including the ability to pay attention, learn and remember rules, and the self-control to not act on initial impulses. I'm here to support your child in gaining these important skills! Children will also naturally practice locomotor skills and body sequencing through the active games. This section will end on February 10th due to a conflict with my son's sports schedule. Week 2: Your child will need something to color with, and a mandala of their choice from the provided file. If you don't have access to a printer, a piece of blank paper is okay, too.
