Class Experience

Group Violin Warmup is a great way to wake up with your violin!

Warming up before practicing is very important. Holding the violin doesn't always feel natural to our bodies, so we need to warm up before diving in, just like we would with exercising.

I'm passionate about avoiding injury as a musician and also honing skills in an efficient way. I'll be demonstrating both of these concepts at each warmup session as I lead learners through physical warmups and exercises on the violin.

Group Violin Warmup is not a substitute for private lessons. This is, instead, a place to warm up for the day and to learn new warmups for the violin. This class is suitable for anyone who has been playing for at least 2 months. I'll adapt all exercises for each individual in the class.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi, I'm Elizabeth! I teach online music classes with themes kids love. I'm a violist with a Master of Music degree from The Hartt School, and a Bachelor of Music degree from Shenandoah Conservatory. I also teach private viola, violin, and piano lessons.

I believe music helps us communicate with others, since it's a universal language. Learning music helps us learn about ourselves, and how to express ourselves. I love using acting metaphors when teaching music--we're really sharing a story with others!

I love Disney, Taylor Swift, Harry Potter, and cats. I also love cooking and making crafts!
