Beginner Level
This class is designed for students who want to learn to sing. No previous experience is needed! Students will be taught to use musical terminology. Simple musical concepts will be introduced. Students should expect to sing and engage in listening activities throughout the entire class. I minored in vocal music and have been teaching voice lessons since I was in high school. I have taught children's choirs and private voice lessons. Several years ago I recorded a cd, and I sing at my church on a weekly basis. I also have experience teaching English as a second language (ESL). I would be happy to accommodate students who are learning English.
Students should bring water to class. Please refrain from chewing gum or eating during class.
We will begin class with very simple stretches and breathing exercises. I use also share my own screen my own slides to teach the lessons so that kids can follow along with singing exercises.
