Hello! Welcome to my course of Private Piano Lessons. This group course is designed for families with more than one child wanting to participate in piano lessons. This group session will take away the hassle of exiting a zoom class, switching student profiles, and entering a zoom class for the second child. This way, both students are ready to go while both students still receive 1:1 instruction from me. In this course I will offer a private lesson meeting your child at their current Piano Playing level. This course is a thorough overview of how to play the piano and read music. Students will become proficient performers as well as skilled musicians understanding music theory terminology. I will cover all elements of music theory including ear training, rhythm, and how to love the music! I do not use a specific set of method books for our classes. I am happy to use: Faber Piano Adventures Bastien Piano Basics Carol Matz online method books. I am more than willing to utilize the piano books that your student has already purchased. If you have not purchased books, I will first recommend the Carol Matz online Piano method because of how easily it works with these online classes. https://carolmatzpiano.com/shop/ My courses will cover every detail beginning with how to sit at the piano, up to the advanced levels of performing in Piano Competitions. Lesson 1: Introduction to the piano and choosing a method book. Lesson 2: Unit 1 in Lesson Book (Learning quarter notes and finger numbers) Lesson 3: Unit 2 in Lesson Book (Learning Half Notes, Whole Notes, Bar Lines, and Measures) Lesson 4: Unit 3 in Lesson Book (Learning the musical alphabet on the white keys of the piano) Lesson 5: Unit 4 in Lesson Book (Learning time signature) Lesson 6: Unit 5 in Lesson Book (Expanding on time signature and dynamics) Lesson 7: Introduction to the grand staff Lesson 8: Unit 6 in the lesson Book (Learning the first 3 notes on the Treble and Bass Clef) Lesson 9: Unit 7 in the Lesson Book (Learning the C-5 finger scale in the Treble Clef) Lesson 10: Unit 8 in the Lesson Book (Learning B-A-G in the Bass Clef) Lesson 11: Unit 9 in the Lesson Book (Learning C-D-E in the Bass Clef) Lesson 12: Unit 10 in the Lesson Book (Learning the C-5 finger scale in both Treble and Bass Clef)
