In this ongoing class, students will meet with the instructor and one or two other students each week to learn the skills necessary to play the piano and read music.
Class experience
This class is a weekly group piano lesson for your child. Students will be placed in groups of 2-3 based on age and previously completed levels in various piano method books. Students will learn the basic skills necessary to play the piano in a warm and supportive environment. Students will be presented with new material by lecture and demonstration, then have the opportunity to ask questions and play out loud for feedback. Students will learn to play with correct technique, learn to read music, and learn to play several songs of increasing difficulty.
Homework Offered
Practicing each day is essential l in learning to play an instrument. New pieces will be assigned each week.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class

Students must have a piano or digital keyboard. We will also use a lesson book for this course. We may decide to continue in your child's current method book, or switch over to another series as appropriate. We will discuss and decide on materials when your child is scheduled for lessons.
