In this class, I will introduce the students to basic music theory (which is basically just a fancy way to say "reading music.") This class is taught in English.
Students will learn the basics of reading music. They will practice and gain muscle memory to play through scales and chords in the key of C. They will learn to play simple melodies with both hands and play the notes on the piano that correspond with the notes written on paper. They will learn the basic chords in the key of C and use them to make their melodies sound better.
Because this is an ongoing class, there will be no assigned homework. However, it is recommended that students practice 15-20 minutes per day at least 4 times a week.
1 file available upon enrollment-Please print any songs or worksheets and bring them to class. -Set up your device so that I can view your student and their hands at the piano. -Please familiarize the student with how to mute and unmute their device.
