This class is designed for students who are struggling with their spelling. Often students are struggling because of underlying difficulties such as dyslexia or another learning disability, or because they simply do not understand why we spell the way we do. This class gives students the way and provides critical practice for those who have academic difficulties. This class begins with very basic spelling skills like spelling short vowel sounds in three letter words like dig or bat and then...
Students will begin with basic spelling skills (cat, big) and progress each week through more complex skills for 8 weeks. By the end of this 8-week course, student will grow in their confidence in spelling and possess an understanding of the English language spelling patterns covered.
