In this semester class, you will learn basic guitar chords to your favorite songs! You will also learn how to read music on the guitar, as well as proper playing technique. You will also perform in a recital.
Class experience
I will teach you how to play your favorite songs on the guitar! I am patient, fun, and enthusiastic about every student at every age and ability level. We will start with basic chords and strum styles and then move on to fingerpicking and eventually adding more ornamentation to your chords. Students will learn basic open chords, strum styles, and fingerpicking. Students will also learn how to read notes on the guitar.
Homework Offered
Students are expected to practice at least 20 minutes every day.2 - 4 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
I offer recitals throughout the year. We will pick a song as a goal and work toward the recital. I offer virtual and in-person recitals where parents, friends, relatives are able to see all the progress you have been making!Grades Offered
