Group Guitar for Intermediate Players!

This class will build on the fundamentals of guitar in a group setting! Prior to joining this class, all students will go through a placement course to determine their skill level.

This class introduces chord modifications (i.e. diminished chords, suspended chords, etc.), new picking and strumming patterns to challenge the students, playing to a metronome, and the list goes on! After every class, we will pick up where we left off in the next one! The goal is continued growth and a really fun time for each student! I hope to share in my love of music and instruments with your learners. :)

I focus on teaching with joy, encouragement and excitement in each class. I hope to create an environment that is welcoming and accommodating. We will always work at the students' pace.

We will work on the following topics initially:
-chord modifications (i.e. suspended chords, diminished chords)
-simple guitar scales
-metronome playing
-finger picking vs. guitar pick playing

When the students appear ready, we will build into application of the new techniques using the enhanced knowledge.

I also offer a Taylor Swift class where we learn new Taylor Swift songs every week on guitar! Students can graduate into taking this course upon determining their enhanced skills.
