Gross Stuff in Veterinary Medicine Camp With Veterinarian Dr. Joy (Ages 13-17)

In this 5-day camp, students will explore the ugly, smelly and revolting side of veterinary medicine. They will come to appreciate that a veterinarian’s day is not filled with cute puppies and fluffy kittens.

Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
🐶 I am a small animal veterinarian from Nova Scotia, Canada.

🐰 From an early age, veterinary medicine was clearly my passion. While many little girls were playing with their dolls, I was providing veterinary care to my stuffed animals in my pretend veterinary hospital.
🐱 I obtained my Bachelor of Science in biology at Acadia University, my Masters of Science in bacteriology from Queen’s University, and my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Atlantic Veterinary Hospital at the University of Prince Edward Island.

🐺 Since then, I have worked in many fields of veterinary medicine: private practice, emergency medicine, and even a mobile veterinary clinic.

🐴 I am now very excited to share my love for animals and veterinary medicine with the next generation. I hope to inspire, ignite and empower aspiring animal lovers and future veterinarians.
Something to write with - pencil/eraser or pen
