Students will learn about the important job of the turkey vulture, helping them get excited about nature and animals.
2 pieces of black construction paper 1 piece of construction paper any color except black 1 piece of pink or red construction paper 2 white plastic knives or spoons broken into 4-6 random pieces or a pair of scissors that will cut through plastic in class black, orange, and brown marker or colored pencils light colored chalk--white, gray, light blue, etc. glue (stick or liquid)
Vultures eat dead things. There are a few cartoonish illustrations of dead animals with vultures nearby. Students may need to use scissors to cut through the plastic spoons and knives. The items may be cut into 4-6 pieces before class or they may be broken into pieces by hand.
