In this introduction to Yoga, students will learn breathing exercises, yoga stretches, and poses. The bulk of the class is dedicated to learning the yoga stretches and poses to increase overall flexibility, strength, and fitness. We learn skills such as focus, balance, body awareness and coordination. This class is active and stimulating. If you're interested in a more relaxing yoga course, please refer to my "Calming Yoga" class. My teaching style is to use short activities in rotation to keep the learners engaged. I try my best to read the students' energy levels and responses to decide if a particular activity is suitable for them at the moment. We will always start the class with a time-in. The time-in is a moment for everyone to bring their attention and focus to our class by practicing a breathing technique altogether. This will then be followed by a warm-up, then a sequence of yoga poses, and ended with relaxation. During class, students will be muted. This helps with the sound quality and for the video to always be on the teacher so everyone can view the steps at all times. There will be limited verbal interaction between students. Towards the end of class, they’re welcome to ask questions. There are no requirements or previous experience needed for this class.

Parental Guidance
A yoga mat is recommended or a carpet that isn't too slippery. The main concern is slipping on hard floors such as tile or hardwood.
For safety purposes, please make sure the area is free of sharp objects or corners in the case of a fall during balancing poses.
It is recommended to have a water bottle for breaks.
Supply List
Students are asked to wear clothing comfortable to move in. For example shorts, leggings, joggers, t-shirts, etc. Please no skirts, dresses, or oversized clothing. No shoes or socks are required.
