Description
Class Experience
I lived in Bahia, Brasil for 5 years and speak Brazilian Portuguese semi-fluently. I studied Capoeira with the group Filhos de Zumbi in Itacaré and received my first cord in 2012. I am a 600 hr Registered Yoga Teacher with certification in Yoga for Children & Teens.
Students are asked to wear clothing comfortable to move in. For example joggers, leggings, and t-shirts, etc. Ideally, nothing too baggy as it will be difficult to see the motions. NO DRESSES OR SKIRTS. Please keep an easy access water bottle nearby during class. You can count on us taking quick sips in between activities.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Make sure to have enough space to move around in a safe environment.
I added a youtube link to a video of the children from my Capoeira group in Brazil doing their demo in order to receive their first cord. It's a great little clip to get your learners excited about what they'll be learning in my class.
