Description

Class Experience

After this class your learner will be able to 
define and identify geometric constructs in 1, 2, and 3 dimensions
classify different kinds of angles and line slopes
understand relationships between vertical, corresponding, interior and exterior angles
define latitude and longitude
get area and perimeter of various shapes
get volume and surface area of various 3D solids
As a teacher of kids for over 16 years, I know how to keep the energy alive and have kids learn!

As a chemical engineer and project management professional in the world of information technology consultants, I've completed over five levels of college calculus and applied mathematics and used these math and computing skills throughout my career.  I've also taught math in the public schools and in private and homeschool settings. 
No homework will be assigned for this class.
Paper, pencil, and a brain ready for thinking fun!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
The learner's progress is assessed by how well the learner participates in the interactions during class.
1 hour 15 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Students can start at any level as this is a one to one tutoring session.
