I have a degree in Psychology and I am certified to teach both English and English as a Second Language. I have been teaching for fifteen years. I taught middle school English, Reading, and Creative Writing in the public school system for eight years, and I have been homeschooling my two daughters for eight years. I strive to make my classroom an inviting, safe, and happy place where all learners can grow. My goal is to offer a well-rounded Language Arts program taught in a fun and encouraging environment. I teach a variety of classes focusing on reading comprehension, writing, poetry, and oral language skills. I also offer one on one tutoring as well. I have something to meet the needs of all types of learners! I even have life skills classes and some fun pet classes where we learn how to care for bunnies, cats, gerbils, and hamsters! When I am not teaching, I love to read, write, research best practices of teaching, crochet, play board games with my family, and take family vacations to learn more about nature, science, and history.
