Class Experience

This 3-class is for students to learn how to prepare some classic dishes and learn basic grilling methods & techniques.  Learn a few tricks and impress your family at the next cookout or holiday gathering!

Students are encouraged to ask questions, make observations, and share stories about their attempts and results with trying to make the dish via messaging in the classroom.

Each class will have a recipe with all ingredients listed.  

Class 1: 
-Grilling basics
-Desired internal temperatures
-Direct/indirect heat
-Gas vs Charcoal
-Cleaning/basic maintenance

Class 2: (Please have grill pre-lit and ready to go!)
-Hot dogs/sausages
-Hamburgers

Class 3: (Please have grill pre-lit and ready to go!)
-Chicken kabobs
-Veggie packets/baskets

Important Notes:

-The teacher will demonstrate proper grilling techniques.
-Active participation is not at all necessary on the part of the student.  Students may simply watch and send questions.
-All ingredients will be listed and uploaded in the classroom.  Some ingredients may contain common allergens such as egg, gluten, or soy--parents/guardians should check the ingredient list ahead of time and make any appropriate substitutions for students with dietary restrictions.
-Any handling of sharp/hot objects or appliances should happen under the supervision of an adult at home.
