In this one-time class, students will learn about what green living is and how making environmentally friendly choices can help protect our environment. Our young green heroes will walk away with the knowledge that everyone (even kids) has a role to play in saving our planet. We will be answering questions like: ~What does the term “going green” mean? ~How can we be green examples in our homes, schools and communities? We will be discussing the 3 R’s (reduce, reuse and recycle), brainstorm...
Students will improve their knowledge on environmental sustainability and be empowered to make sustainable or environmentally friendly choices daily.
I worked with a non-profit whose mission is to respond to threats or challenges of security, poverty and environmental degradation in order to ensure a sustainable future. I collaborated with our partner office in Australia to create disaster preparedness posters for elementary school children in rural Ghana.
Card stock (any color), scissors, glue, marker, coloring utensils.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parental guidance is required for the use of scissors.
