Students should practice their Greek vocabulary and skills with family and/or friends.Class Experience
Welcome! In this one-time class, students will learn how to greet and have an introductory conversation with a new friend in Greek. I will go through slides and teach students how to greet someone, introduce themselves, and have a quick conversation. After reading each slide, students will be able to repeat and then apply their learning with one another as they have a conversation using the new Greek vocabulary they have just learned. If a student already knows how to introduce themselves, this will be great practice as they will get to interact with others while speaking Greek. Beginners are encouraged and welcomed! Topics that will be covered include: Practicing "good morning/evening/night", "hello", "welcome", "my name is ....", "what is your name?", "how are you?", "I'm good/so and so/not so good", "how was your trip?", "it was great to meet/see you", "it is a lovely day today", "safe travels", and "good-bye". This is a great class to get students familiar with speaking Greek and practice the skill with a teacher and peers.
Learning Goals
Students will improve their Greek vocabulary and practice learning how to properly introduce themselves to others as well as having a conversation with someone in Greek.
