In this class we will read an illustrated version of the story of Perseus and the Gorgon from the Usborne Collection of Greek Myths which is designed for younger learners and has beautiful illustrations. All main characters and plot lines are introduced clearly and this session will be a great starting point for further in depth classical civilisation study. We will discuss the story together using flash card questions as prompts and questions will be encouraged. Learners will then get to draw their favourite scene from the story. Please bring a piece of paper and some colour pens for this. No slides will be used for this interactive class. 20 minutes: Introduce background of story and read the story from the book 10 minutes: Flash card quiz and discussion. Questions welcome! 10 minutes: Draw your favourite scene from the story

My name is Maya and I graduated from the University of Oxford with a geography degree in 2013. Since then I have worked in the humanitarian sector for the British Red Cross and worked as a private tutor around the world.
