In this class we will read the myth about Daedalus and Icarus who flew to their freedom on wings made by the master inventor Daedalus. We will learn about the geography of the two Greek islands linked to this story Crete and Ikaria.

Class Experience
In this class we will read the myth about Daedalus and Icarus who flew to their freedom on wings made by the master inventor Daedalus. Daedalus had been imprisoned by King Minos of Crete after constructing the labyrinth to house the monstrous Minotaur.
