Class Experience
In this class we will read the short Greek myth of Arachne from the Orchard Book of Greek Myths. We will learn about Arachne, who was a beautiful weaver, but her arrogance angered the goddess Athena who challenged her to a weaving competition. When Athena sees Arachne's tapestry portraying the greek gods as unsophisticated and embarrassing she turns the woman into a spider for her impudence (this is where the word arachnid comes from). In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
