Class Experience
People around the world have tried to explain the world around them for years, and many of these stories become myths and legends. Some of the most influential of these came from Greece. Through listening to and reading Greek myths, students will develop their reading fluency, accuracy, and expression. They will learn to analyze and identify story structure, such as plot, characters, and setting, as well as characteristics common to Greek myths, such as the Greek gods, consequences for...

I have many years of teaching history and literature that contains violence. I keep descriptions non-graphic and only discuss it insofar as it is required to understand the material.

45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Some Greek myths contain violence, though it is not graphic. The list of stories used in class are included in the class description, so you can decide what is appropriate for your child. The stories will be displayed via GoogleDocs, however, students will not need to login to anything, since I will be sharing my screen.
