▬▬▬▬▬▬ COURSE SUMMARY ▬▬▬▬▬▬ This is an introductory class to the world of Greek Mythology. There are many myths, Gods, and Goddesses within Greek mythology, but this course will focus on the 12 Olympian Gods, plus two others. In all, we will cover 14 Gods/Goddesses. No prior knowledge is needed for this course, as it is an intro course. ▬▬▬▬▬▬ Self-Paced Format ▬▬▬▬▬▬ This is a self-paced class, with NO live component. For this class, a recorded presentation (about 30-40 minutes long) will be posted once a week discussing the Gods, Goddesses, and myths specified for each week. Learners are encouraged to write down their questions during the video lesson and post them on the class page. ACTIVITIES: - Each week, three discussion questions will be posted to the classroom for learners to respond to and discuss. - After Week 2, learners will write a short letter in the voice of an assigned God. - After Week 4, another writing assignment will be given for learners to complete and submit. The assignment will include two prompts. Learners will choose which one they want to do and complete the assignment. - During the last week, there will be a short online test for learning comprehension. - There will also be pop quizzes available for learning comprehension each week. Assignments and discussion questions are created to help engage with the information they learn throughout the course in an enjoyable, creative way. If parents/learners would like a letter grade for either writing assignment/the course, I can provide that as requested.
