In this fun, interactive, and engaging set of classes, students will be given the opportunity to learn about and discuss some of the most famous characters of Greek Mythology. Day 1: Demeter & Persephone/ Athena, Ares, and the Magical Rock Day 2: Theseus & the Minotaur/Wings: Icarus & Daedalus Day 3: Medusa & Athena/Perseus and Medusa These classes will be presented via Nearpod. Though Nearpod is an external website, no account or sign in is necessary. At the beginning of each class I will provide a direct link and/or code for students to log in using an internet browser OR the Nearpod app on a tablet/smartphone. Each presentation will include videos, photos, virtual field trips, interactive slides, and collaborations. During each class, students will be asked to collaborate with one another, participate verbally, and to use their device or computer by drawing, typing and watching short videos together. These are interactive classes, but participation via the chat feature is also okay. If viewing the Nearpod presentation on the same device, is important that learners are comfortable navigating to a separate browser, opening tabs, and minimizing their screen. *If you do not see a time that works well for your child, please feel free to contact me or send me a schedule request.

Hello, I am Mrs. Wilson! I am a certified middle math and social studies teacher of 9 years.
As a teacher, I have found and come to believe that students learn best through interactive and engaging activities, therefore I will carry this belief over to my online students! Through teaching social studies, I have learned that students love a good story and truly enjoy discovering all the many things that make a group of people unique.
