Class Experience

US Grade 2 - 4
Join me as we travel back to the days of the gods and goddesses from Mt. Olympus as we learn one new myth each week!

These stories are thousands of years old and aren't just interesting, they're also often trying to teach the reader a lesson. Students will read each myth and work together to figure out the moral!

Students will be encouraged to read fluently and confidently as I check for comprehension throughout the myth.

Once we've discussed the myth, we'll get to spend the rest of the class doing an art project that represents the myth! Some weeks the craft may take longer than our class time together. If that happens, students are welcome to post a picture of their masterpiece in our classroom!

Hello families! I’m Amanda and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to teach your learner! I love everything about education and feel consider being a teacher as part of who I am. It is my passion!

I have a bachelor's degree in elementary and special education, two active teaching licenses in Arizona and reading and ESL endorsements. I've been teaching since 2017 and I'm working towards a master's in child and adolescent development.

My goal as your learner’s teacher is to inspire them to be lifelong learners. Learning is scary and requires a lot of vulnerability to take chances knowing you could make a mistake. I pride myself on helping students feel safe, confident, and secure in themselves. I’ve always seen tremendous growth in students when they are in an environment that allows for them to safely make mistakes and learn from them.

I’m looking forward to meeting your learner and joining them in their educational journey!
