Welcome to the 4 day camp about Greek Heroes! The stories of the heroes have been fascinating people for thousands of years. 
The Greek Heroes go on epic quests and journeys. They fight monsters. Gods and Goddesses appear throughout the tales to both help and hinder them. The stories include comedy and tragedy along the way. They seek guidance from various sources and sometimes even cross paths with each other.

Students will learn all about the adventures of the Greek Heroes.

I have loved Greek Mythology for most of my life and having been reading all the myths I can get my hands on. I have been studying all things Greek myths for over 20 years.
I recently travelled to Greece for 6 weeks and visited major historical sites related to the myths in order to learn even more. I am very excited to share this new knowledge.

These are tales of great battles and can include some violence. All language and descriptions will be kept appropriate for students.

Most of our tales come from the authors Hesiod (The Theogony) and Homer (Iliad and Odyssey).
Students are welcome to share where they have encountered any of these stories before as well. 
No websites or other specific source material is used, but I am always happy to share book recommendations if a learner asks for resources. Learners often share their favorite Greek myth books in class.
