Greek and Latin Roots - Vocabulary and Games!

In this ongoing class, learners will study various Greek and Latin roots. We will also cover prefixes and suffixes. 

This class is designed for students to increase their vocabulary and make connections between words based on their roots. By doing so, learners will not only increase their vocabulary, but their spelling and understanding of unfamiliar words will improve! Learners can join at anytime because every class will cover two new roots. 

We will record all of our Greek and Latin roots on a vocabulary matrix and students can keep them in a folder for quick reference.  Students can also use index cards. 

Class Structure:
1. Introductions / Greetings
2. Introduction of Greek / Latin Root Origins (2 a class) 
3. Complete Vocabulary Matrix (Definition, Origins, Illustration, Words and Sentences)
         - Learners will make their own sentences with the words, think of new words with the roots, and discuss the root words in context
5. Kahoot, Blooket or Gimkit game
