This class will teach English reading, vocabulary, pronunciation, problem solving and critical thinking skills at an intermediate level. We will use the theme of Great White Sharks to practice these skills. Throughout the lesson, I will use a creative and interactive lesson plan to make an interesting and immersive experience that any child who loves sharks, the ocean or animals in general will surely enjoy! This is a one time - 30 minute ESL class with up to 2 students. I keep my classes small so that each student can have opportunities to speak and gain as much as they can from the lesson. I want parents to feel that they got premium value for this lesson, so I choose to keep classes at a smaller participant count. I value a relaxed, positive and comfortable teaching environment. I encourage students to speak, laugh and not feel nervous. I am always happy to adjust my teaching style to fit each student's needs! Each learner will get a lot of time to interact with the instructor because there are a large amount of reading passages, discussion questions, open ended guessing challenges, and a final review game at the end! My Great White Sharks ESL lesson has roughly 50 slides with all kinds of different pictures, videos, games, and fun facts! No prior knowledge of sharks is necessary. THIS COURSE IS PERFECT FOR YOUR CHILD IF: The student is at an overall INTERMEDIATE level of English They have an interest in sharks, the ocean or animals They like discussion They do well in a relaxed, judgment free classroom environment They can read short passages and sentences to learn about sharks They can ask questions when they do not understand They can listen well and take turns speaking Lastly, I am truly so passionate about teaching lessons like this.
