Homework
1-2 hours per week. Every Tuesday, I will post to the classroom a list of 3-7 questions due the following Saturday. There will also be a list of 2-5 research topics or projects, and each student will choose two that interests them. Answers for the research topics only have to be a paragraph or two. This is also due Saturday of each week. Homework can either be sent through the communication function of Outschool (email) or posted on the classroom page. Each project is be written clearly and with any references noted.Class Experience

In this 4 week class, we will take a look at one of the most well known and influential women in U.S. History - Susan B. Anthony. We will examine her childhood and influences, how and why she got involved in the women's movement, her participation and activism in the abolitionist movement, why she was arrested, and how she used propaganda and speeches to further her fight for the vote for women. Each week, by Wednesday evening (9pm PST) - -I will email each student a link that weeks lecture and assignments. This will be on YouTube and is in a private account that is embedded into the Outschool classroom page. - Assignments will consist of discussion and essay questions, short research topics, Youtube videos, and worksheets. These will be posted on the classroom page. - In my flex classes, each family can determine the level of participation in the course. - Communication will be done through the Outschool classroom. -I will check in with each student several times during the week to check on progress of the homework, address any questions, or to engage in a discussion about the topic covered. Each student is encouraged to message (through the Outschool classroom) me anytime they have any questions or thoughts about the class. - Each week, there may be additional articles, videos, or pictures that will be posted to the classroom page to engage students in open conversations about that weeks topic. -Please message me before the start of class if you have any questions. Learning Goals
Students will learn about the life and accomplishments of one of the great leaders of the American Women's Suffrage movement. We will take a look at how she got started in the reform movement, the different people she met, how she used her voice to stand up for change, and what impact her life left on countless women.

Parental Guidance
In this class, all discussions of sexism, racism, and discrimination will be at age appropriate level.
This class will utilize Youtube videos for sharing of lecture videos, as well as supplemental lessons. All Youtube videos are embedded into the Outschool platform. This class may also utilize Kahoot. Learners will be given a direct link and game pin to play.
