Clara Barton was an incredible woman. She started the first public school in New Jersey, she moved to Washington, DC in 1854 and was worked as a clerk in the United States Patent Office. During the American Civil War, compelled to help in some meaningful way, Clara immediately jumped into action, gathering food, medicine, clothing, and other supplies to distribute to the soldiers, becoming known as the Angel of the Battlefield. And, most famously, started the American Red Cross. Come and join us as we explore the life of this amazing and inspirational woman.
