Grateful & Thankful: Journaling & Poetry Fun!

Poetry is a FUN way to share, play with, and express what we're grateful for at Thanksgiving, or any time of the year! During this one-time class, students will be guided through a writing process to create two different kinds of poems based on the theme of what they feel most grateful for this year. Students will learn how to write an Acrostic poem. Students will reflect on, and write about, the things they are grateful for. Students will create a Pantoum. (type of poem) Students will share their poem(s) with confidence. Students will respectfully listen to the ideas and poems of others with kindness and encouragement.

Students are assessed based on particpation. This means being open to explore their ideas and think about what they're grateful for, doing their best to write the poems, and sharing their poem(s) if they choose. This also means listening respectfully to the ideas and poems of others. :)Grades Offered
Paper of any kind and something to write with. :)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
