Are you a lover of graphic novels? Me too! Once a week for four weeks, this book club will have students select four graphic novels of their choosing. Each week students will then present their book and their insights on it to class in 3-5 minutes. The class will then have the opportunity to ask questions and/or discuss the novel. For example, a student may read and present on the graphic novel Ghosts by Raina Telgemeier and explain the plot, as well as what they enjoyed/did not enjoy, what...
- Students will improve reading skills through practice - Students will improve presentation skills through practice and modeling
- Students will read one graphic novel, of their choosing, per week. - Students will need to organize their thoughts for their presentation on their novel each week using the tools provided by the instructor.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
