Class Experience

In this class we will be practicing our math skills by sorting, and graphing with Skittles.
The students will need their own pack of Original Skittles (at least 20) so they can practice sorting them.
Then we will sort the colors into groups.
After that I will teach the students about graphing.
For their closing activity / assessment they will fill out a graph that will need to be printed out before class.
After we graph I want the student to use the information on the graph to add, subtract, and compare.
I am looking forward to interacting with each child and having them interact with each other.

Learning Goals

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello, I love to teach! Whether it is to my students in the classroom, at home, or online. I love all of it! I am a certified elementary education teacher. I have a dual degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Weber State University. I taught preschool through 4th grade in brick and mortar schools. I then decided to stay home with my kids and taught preschool out of my home for two years. After that, I taught ESL classes online for the past four years. I have studied Dyslexia for the past six years and am now a dyslexia tutor using the Barton method. I have volunteered as a Home Economics teacher for six years and have had many students ages 8 - 18 in my home learning how to bake and sew.

I plan on using all of my teaching experience to teach your children. I can’t wait to teach preschool, elementary, reading, and baking classes again. I truly believe that Kinesthetic learning is essential for all students, and I’m excited to use it in my classroom. I can’t wait to see you there!
