Graph Linear Equations With Y Intercepts and Slippery Slopes
Class experience
This class will take 3 days demonstrate how to derive the equation y = mx + b, what the variables represent in the equations, and how to graph the equations. We will also interpret the graphs to be able to write the equation for the graph. There's also a couple of fun graphs where there's a golf game and one with Zombies - you'll just have to come and find out what I mean! My lessons include slide presentations and worksheets to practice along during the lesson. I teach by relating to the...
Students will be able to graph a linear equation with a y-intercept, interpret a graph with a y-intercept, and connect to real life situations in using such graphs.
4 files available upon enrollmentA calculator, pencil, and paper would be useful. Worksheets are provided to follow along with the lesson presentation. There is a graphic organizer attached that should be available for day 1 and two worksheets for day 2 and two for day 3.
