During the online chess class, students will learn how to play better in the openings, middlegames, and endgames. I will share my screen with a chess program, where the kids will be able to see the chessboard and actually move the pieces by themselves. We will work on many different openings, middlegame and endgame positions. The kids will be able to understand certain concepts and plans for different types of positions. The class is good for chess players who know how to play chess, but have problems with the openings, middlegames, or endgames! Join the class and improve your game! Every lesson is independent and new kids could join anytime! We will work in detail on many different examples of the following themes: Class - Monday, September 23: Simple pawn endings. Class - Monday, September 30: Stalemate motifs. Class - Monday, October 7: Smothered mate. Class - Monday, October 14: Pawn combinations. Class - Monday, October 21: Realizing a material advantage. Class - Monday, October 28: Open files and Outposts. Class - Monday, November 4: Planning in chess. Class - Monday, November 11 : Middle game strategy. Class - Thursday, October 3: Candidate moves. Class - Thursday, October 10: Deflection. Class - Thursday, October 17: Mating combinations. Class - Thursday, October 24: Simple pawn endings. Class - Thursday, October 31: Middle game strategy. Class - Thursday, November 7: Smothered mate. Class - Thursday, November 14: Realizing a material advantage. Class - Thursday, November 21: Open files and Outposts. Class - Saturday, October 12: Pawn combinations. Class - Saturday, October 19: Realizing a material advantage. Class - Saturday, October 26: Open files and Outposts. Class - Saturday, November 2: Planning in chess. Class - Saturday, November 9 : Middle game strategy. Class - Saturday, November 16: Simple pawn endings. Class - Saturday, November 23: Stalemate motifs. Class - Saturday,November 30: Smothered mate.
