Class Experience

US Grade 5
In this lesson, learners will have fun listening to "What Do You Call A Rhyming Riddle? A Hinky Pink!" by fifth-grade students of St. Joseph Montessori School. This book has beautiful student-drawn illustrations to show many different, fun hinky pinks. After the book, we will play an interactive hinky pinks game, where the students get to control the screen using their computer mouse or touch pad. This class is great for children who are just learning about hinky pinkies, or to provide extra practice for learners who already know about hinky pinkies. Come join us in the classroom!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi! I'm Teacher Shannon! I have taught 2nd grade for 24 years. I've taught both Gifted and Regular Education. I was a substitute teacher for 2 years working with Early Childhood students as well as older elementary students. My passion is reading! I love Children's Literature and I have even co-taught college level students on "What's New In Children's LIterature?" for the last 10 years. What drives me as a teacher is to have a fun, safe, interactive classroom while embracing lots of quality literature. I want kids to love reading as much as I do and to have fun learning! And maybe make a craft or two along the way!
