US Grade 1 - 3
In this lesson, learners will have fun listening to a story about a boy named Stanley who visits a planet named Krimular. He meets a purple planet filled with friendly, six-armed aliens, but absolutely no pronouns! After the story, we will play an interactive pronoun game, where the students get to control the screen using their computer mouse or touchpad. Then we will make a pronoun craft called My "I is a Pronoun" Phone, instead of a boring iPhone! This class is great for children who are just learning about pronouns, or to provide extra practice for learners who already know about pronouns. Let's start our pronoun learning!
Learning Goals
Students will improve their understanding of pronouns. They will also be able to listen to a story and be able to share pronouns from the story. Finally, students will be able to use real life experience to write sentences using pronouns on a craft.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi! I'm Teacher Shannon! I have taught 2nd grade for 24 years. I've taught both Gifted and Regular Education. I was a substitute teacher for 2 years working with Early Childhood students as well as older elementary students. My passion is reading! I love Children's Literature and I have even co-taught college level students on "What's New In Children's LIterature?" for the last 10 years. What drives me as a teacher is to have a fun, safe, interactive classroom while embracing lots of quality literature. I want kids to love reading as much as I do and to have fun learning! And maybe make a craft or two along the way!
