In this lesson, learners will have fun listening to a story called The Bug Book by Maria Fleming. In this story, we will meet many bugs while focusing on adjectives. After the story, we will watch the short, but fun musical video from School House Rock on adjectives. Then we will play an interactive adjective game, where the students get to take control of the screen to find adjectives using their computer mouse or touchpad. Finally, we will make an adjective craft. The students will need to think of up to 5 or 6 adjectives that describe themselves. They will write these adjectives on the Adjectives All About _______! printable. The students will be able to share their adjectives with each other. This class is great for children who are just learning about adjectives, or to provide extra practice for learners who already know about adjectives. Let's start our adjective learning!
Learning Goals
Students will improve their understanding of adjectives. They will also be able to listen to a story and be able to share adjectives from the story. Finally, students will be able to use real life experience to tell adjectives that describe themselves.
